                      June News

June 13, 2010,
June has certainly been a busy month so far. June started off with a Relay For Life performance in Leduc, AB on June 4th. It was great too see a Relay For Life in Leduc, this year was the first ever. Many people used to have to travel to different communities to fight against cancer, now they are happy they don't have too.

June 8th, was a performance at Lifestyles Senior Centre in Leduc, AB. It was my very first time at that seniors centre, and I think everyone enjoyed the entertainment.

June 10th, was another performance at a senior centre. This one was at Summerwood Village in Sherwood Park, AB. This was my second time at this centre and I had a great time! I received lots of positive feedback... which is a good thing!

June 11th, I did my third Relay For Life performance. This one was in Whitecourt, AB. Whitecourt has never had a Relay For Life before, and like Leduc, the citizens of Whitecourt and area, are happy they don't have far to travel far to fight now. There were lots of cancer survivours, and family members there for the fight. It's great to be part of an event like that, for such a good cause.

June 26th, The Jordan Rody Band will be performing for a private function in Edmonton, AB. If you have a social gathering, festival, or anything where people would enjoy great energetic polka music, feel free to contact me.

Eli Barsi  has won numerous awards, 11 Canadian Charted Radio Singles, and has had 3 music videos on CMT. Eli is from Saskatchewan, and she is a great success on both sides of the border. Along side of Eli were John Cunningham on stand-up bass, and Lizzy Hoyt on fiddle/mandolin duties. They are truly great musicians. It was an absolute honour to get to open for her.

October News

October 31, 2009

At the beginning of the month I was very honored and privileged to play with Johnny Koenig from Cleveland, OH. We played an Oktoberfest in Leavenworth, WA. It was my very first time playing an Oktoberfest and I wouldn't of had it any other way. Johnny's CD "The New Kid In Town" made the Grammy ballot last year. I backed the Johnny Koenig Band October 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and our last day of playing at the festival was the 10th.

The Leavenworth Oktoberfest is certainly a true German/Bavarian festival. They do a tremendous job of keeping the German/Bavarian tradition alive. We played 2 out of the 3 weekends at the festival. The festival continued on to October 16th, and 17th. We played to capacity crowds each time at the festival, and the crowds were amazing. If you like Oktoberfest, or German beer, or even bratwurst, I highly recommend the festival.

Yesterday the Jordan Rody Band entertained the folks at Extendicare Seniors Centre. We had fun playing for the folks there, we're very glad we get the opportunity to bring excitement and entertainment to their lives. Everybody was dancing and singing along with the songs, it was a good time had by all.

Darryl Kushneryk who helped me get the website going.

Earlier in the month we played a private function in Saskatchewan. We had a really great time, everyone made us feel right at home. Sunday August 23rd we made the long journey back home.

Yesterday we played at Extendicare Seniors Centre for our third time, and it was really fun. Our first time playing there was March 28th, and since then we have had the great pleasure of entertaining the folks there on two different occasions. and it is always so much fun to bring excitement to their lives. We hope we have the opportunity to play there again sometime.

May 4, 2009

I am happy to announce that I well be playing at Relay For Life. I well be playing in Edmonton, AB on May 23rd at Foot Field (near the UofA).

For those of you that don't know Relay For Life is a national event. There are Relay For Life events all over Canada and United States.
